Smaller Government - Lower Taxes - More Freedom

  "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation".


  Those words, of course, is the opening to the Declaration of Independence, and those words have just as much meaning today in America as when they where first written for King George in 1776.
  I feel any reasonable and rational person who believes in American values such as personal liberty, freedom of choice, and freedom from an oppressive government, has to think and feel there is something seriously wrong in America today. Personal freedom and personal choice is under attack.
  This is why now, more than ever since 1776, it is necessary for us (the American people) to dissolve political bands which have been connected with another. In this case i.e. Republicans and Democrats.
  Whether you feel it is one side or another's fault for all that’s wrong in America it really doesn’t matter because then the side you feel is right is a failure for not being able to stop the other, but in reality it truly is both sides fault. Step out of yourself for a moment and look at the wider political spectrum and you will see today’s Republicans and Democrats are equal to blame and equally failures in the Management of our country.
  Though there is much more evidence to see that they are equal together in failure, perhaps no example would be better than at the end of (republican) George W. Bush's 2nd term. There he stood on stage side by side Nancy Pelosi(democrat) trying to explain to America why the Bailouts where the right thing to do .While at the same time Barack Obama ( democrat) and John McCain( republican) agreed with George and Nancy about the bailouts. Democrats and Republicans together not caring what the American people said when they overwhelmingly said "no" to the bailouts, and yet they did it anyway, telling us we just where not smart enough to understand why the bailouts where necessary. It is self evident repubs and dems are equal in blame.
  I honestly and totally believe the remedy to this problem is the American people.
  I never really wanted to or imagined I would run for political office, but when my second son Benjamin was born on March 13 2009 and I looked down on him and realized that he was already in deep financial debt and he hadn’t done anything, I felt I had to do something. When I looked at my older son Joshua and realized his personal freedoms and liberties where slipping away and he hadn’t done anything, I felt I had to do something. When I remembered the stories of the brave men who marched at Valley Forge barefoot in the snow with General Washington to fight to the death for the dream of a free America, I felt I was a coward if I did nothing. That is why I am running for Ohio's 9th district House of Representatives as member of the Libertarian Party.
  Now is the time to stop listening to the propaganda of repubs and dems that a 3rd party can’t win thus it is a wasted vote. When they say that what they really are saying is "please don’t take our job from us because we like our money and power."
  They simply fear losing their jobs, money and power. I mean, of course a 3rd party can win if the majority of voter's vote for the 3rd party candidate and yes of course voter's can vote 3rd party if they choose to. Don’t let dems and repubs tell you who you can or can't vote for, you decide for yourself. Based on their job performance I would have to say the votes for repubs and dems was the wasted vote, wouldn’t you?
  As I said the remedy to America’s problems is the American people and that is exactly what the Libertarian Party is made up of, myself included, people from everyday life, living everyday lives, people who get up and go to work trying to make a better life for their families. Punching clocks, double shifts, one parent dropping of kids at school while the other picks them up. Those are libertarians. Shoveling  sidewalks when it snows and raking leaves in the fall. Those are Libertarians. The reality is more of us are Libertarians then are republican or democrat, most just don’t know it yet but the current course of our leaders in Washington DC is starting to wake people up to the fact that in heart they are in-fact Libertarians.
  Do you believe in smaller government and lower taxes?  Of course you do. Does it not sicken you when the government tells you they need your money so they can set up programs to make your life better? Simply what they are saying is that you are not smart enough to take care of yourself so they will do it for you.  How insulting if you ask me.
  I am 35 years of age and currently reside in Sylvania Ohio.  In the Toledo area I have been a small business operator with my father and family for most of my adult life. I have also worked for other area small businesses. I am married with 2 young children aged 7 months and 6 years. I am one of you.  I am a working class person just trying to take care of my family. Trying to advance myself and nothing is more frustrating than being held back from advancing because of government policies designed to make someone else's life better. I understand what it takes for a small business to survive and I know what the government can do to help small business's survive.
  At this site I layout for you my idea and plan for America.  What I would like to do for Ohio's 9th district as Representative. I will explain to you my opinions of why I feel the current representative we have is a failure. She is aiding and abeding the big government takeover of American life.
  As Ronald Reagan once said, “You can't be for big government, big taxes, and big bureaucracy and still be for the little guy."
  The politicians in Washington DC are so out of touch with everyday Americans and it’s time to no longer accept it and start voting in everyday Americans. Like Ourselves.
